How to Beat Cabin Fever

Having Cabin Fever?

Merriam Webster defines cabin fever as "extreme irritability and restlessness from living in isolation or a confined indoor area for a prolonged time." We all get a little stir-crazy during the winter months and quarantine times, but fitmbs™ has much to offer you and your family. We can help you beat the winter blues!

When it begins to warm up outside, as March 20th marks the spring equinox, take your fitmbs™ workouts outside with you! The nicest thing about having a virtual gym is that you can take us anywhere you go. Whether you enjoy hopping on live virtual classes, or you want to press play on one of our on-demand workouts, we are there for you! This way you can still attend your favorite classes with Coach Tanya, Breanne, and Kirsten while you are out camping or in your backyard. Simply prop up your smart phone or laptop, and you are set to workout.

If exercising outdoors isn't your thing, make your own workout space in your home! Whether that be a designated corner of your living room to put your yoga mat, weights, and Ripstix®, transforming the spare bedroom into a rejuvenating yoga space, or organizing a wicker basket to bring to your apartment gym, you can make working out convenient for you inside.

Regardless of where you are located, the most important tactic to fighting cabin fever is to get moving. Get that "workout high" with a boost of endorphins and happy chemicals in your body. Challenge yourself to a new kind of workout. Just keep moving!
