Group Fitness Instructor
I am a Certified Group Fitness Instructor earning my National Exercise Trainers Association (NETA) Group Fitness Certification in 2000. Since then, I have enjoyed working at many health clubs around the Minnesota Twin Cities area including Lifetime (Coon Rapids, Champlin & Savage), YMCA and Dakotah Sport and Fitness. I have taught Turbokick, Step Aerobics, Floor Aerobics and Cycle.
In 2014, I became a Certified Zumba Instructor. Through that certification, I enjoyed teaching at Dreams Huatulco (Mexico) during the winters of 2016 and 2017. I currently teach "Dancefit" at Dakotah. I'm beyond excited to begin teaching Dance Party and Strength classes for the fitmbs® community in March 2021.
I love bringing my passion for awesome music full of energy to the dance and strength floors. It is amazing to feel the energy of the participants and spreading the joy of dance to them during my classes.
Building muscle strength and endurance is also essential for me. Lifting weights has helped me to lose weight, build stronger muscles and bones, increase my metabolism and gain confidence. I am thrilled that I can share this with others through fitmbs® classes
I also teach piano, voice and church choir. In my free time, I enjoy writing songs and spending time with my family...going on hikes, cooking healthy vegetarian meals and walking my dog.
